Dayatas Profab Sdn Bhd, a company in Malaysia, operates dayatasprofab.com and is the data controller responsible for the personal details sent through this site, under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
To ask Dayatas Profab anything about this policy, send a message through the enquiry form on the contact page with “Privacy” at the start of the message. An email address for privacy requests will be added to this policy, together with the company's registration number and registered address, when they are confirmed.

What details does Dayatas Profab collect?
Through the enquiry form, Dayatas Profab receives what you type into it: your company, your name, your country and your email address; whether you are buying resin or offering scrap; the resins, documents or materials you tick; the volume; and anything you write in the message, such as a phone or WhatsApp number. Company, name and email are required: without them the form cannot be sent and Dayatas Profab cannot reply. Everything else is optional.
Dayatas Profab also keeps what you send after your enquiry, by email, WhatsApp or otherwise, such as photos of your material. When a page loads, your browser sends basic technical data, such as its IP address, the browser type and the page requested; Netlify, which hosts this site, records this in its server logs.

Why does Dayatas Profab use my details?
Dayatas Profab uses your details to answer your enquiry and follow it up, to prepare a quotation or assess an offer of scrap, and to keep a record of its correspondence with you. Visit statistics from Google Analytics (section 5) are used only in total, to see which pages help buyers and suppliers and to improve the site.

How long does Dayatas Profab keep my details?
This policy does not yet state a fixed period for which Dayatas Profab keeps enquiry details. Records of business that follows from an enquiry, such as quotations and invoices, are kept for as long as Malaysian law requires. Netlify keeps form submissions and server logs, and Google Analytics keeps visit statistics, for the periods set in those services.

What are my rights under the PDPA?
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you can ask Dayatas Profab to show you the personal details it holds about you, to correct them, to limit how it uses them, to stop using them by withdrawing your consent, or to send them in electronic form to another data controller you choose, where that is technically feasible (data portability). To ask, send a message through the enquiry form on the contact page with “Privacy” at the start of the message.
If you are not satisfied with Dayatas Profab's answer, you can complain to Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Commissioner.

Dayatas Profab updates this page whenever the way it handles your details changes, and the "Last updated" date at the top shows when that last happened.
